The Edizione Corsa was born from a desire to make Melifera travel, to explore new horizons, and seek new immortelle associations. Guided by the immortelle, our Oleron dunes give way to the discovery of the Corsican maquis, to new promenades in immortelle-lined paths, to new scents, new soils to walk on, new plants to reveal.
« An island, a flower, a legend… » Corsica, an obvious choice. Because the immortelle is queen there, it grows everywhere, under every pebble, on every path. Because she too is an island of fantasy, mystery, and legend. Because it is the one Napoleon knew he was approaching, just by the immortelle scents. He could sail at night or with his eyes closed, and still knew he was back on his island.
A celebration of know-how
Concerned with respecting the land and its inhabitants, Melifera’s Edizione Corsa is also a meeting with precious local partners. Still distilled by hand in Charente Maritime, Edizione Corsa incorporates organically grown immortelle flowers in its recipe, harvested and distilled in Saint Florent, in the north of the island by an incredible producer. This exchange of know-how and advice is priceless to us and for the cultivation of our immortelles in Oleron.

Melifera celebrates the timelessness of a magical place and the immortelle flower, preserving biodiversity. By deciding years ago to plant our own immortelle plants in Oléron and harvest them by hand. By funding genetic tests for the Black Bee Conservatory in Oléron, in order to protect these essential workers. This is our way of combining eco-responsible consumption and doing well.
